Rope & Gear
Rope is divided and 2 big family base on the fibber they are made from. Natural fibber , who include Hemp, Jute, Silk, Lin and Cotton. Synthetic who are Aramid, Nylon, Polypropilene and many others. The size of a rope, will impact the strength and the bendiness of it. The apparence and colour and softness go also with there composition and dye use to it, who can change also there strength. Exemple of propreties. Aramid resist well to heat and flame, Natural fibber resist well to UV and have a low stretching. Some dye can give rope glow in the dark effect, synthetic can have phosphorescent fibber.
Length of a ropes, this will vary with the use. A small rope for binding wrist can be 8f. A basic rope 24-30f, and a long one 45f. A set of ropes is compose of different length for different purposes. But with 5 basic rope you can do almost anything.
Size of the rope will change many things, from the feel, the appearance of knots and strength of the rope. For rope bondage we go from 3mm use in hojojutsu to 6mm for more normal use. 8mm and more can also be use, normally in suspension since they are a little bit stronger.
Note of caution, clean your ropes, dont leave a rope wet in a dark corner. Careful with source of heat and chemical.
